The Artist
Working from her studio in Red Hill, Queensland, Australia, Mel’s primary focus is oil painting – with a passion for portraiture, the female form and for interior paintings. She is celebrated for her colourful and dynamic interior paintings celebrating women.
Mel has undertaken various Art courses and workshops including at the National Art School in Sydney and the London Art Academy.
She has exhibited in many group exhibitions and had a solo exhibition in 2019. She has won various art prizes and been finalist in many over the past 10 years. She now paints full time.
She was awarded BA Hons (Opera Studies) 2004 Manchester University UK.
Member of Royal Queensland Art Society. Secretary of RQAS State Committee and Secretary RQAS Brisbane Branch.
